Day 1: Kampala to Lake Mburo
Have breakfast and drive to Lake Mburo national park which is about 230km (4 hours) from Kampala to the Park headquarters and rest camp at Rwonyo. In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride where you will spot various hippos and other water animals and birds and after return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at either Mihingo Safari Lodge or Rwakobo Rock Lodge
Day 2: Game Drive Queen Elizabeth
Have breakfast and go for a game drive, the park is home to herds of Impala, as well as the more uncommon Topi, Eland, and Klipspringer. Burchells Zebra and buffalo also graze these areas.. After lunch drive to Queen. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Enganzi Lodge.
Day 3: game drive and launch cruise
You will have an early sumptuous breakfast and embark on an early morning game drive where you will be able to spot various game species like elephants, lions, kobs, buffaloes, amongst others. You will return to the lodge for a lunch break and there after transfer to the pier and board a boat that will take you on a guided launch cruise along the kazinga channel where you may spot various water birds and animals. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Enganzi Lodge.
Day 4: Transfer Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Breakfast then drive to Bwindi, arriving in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs Lodge or Buhoma Community Bandas
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking
"This is the day." After your very early breakfast, your safari guide will transfer you the the park headquarters where the park warden/guide will take you through briefing before you start your gorilla trekking in the forest. The trekking experience involves hikes through the thick and slippery forest and therefore you are advise to have the right gear on- preferably long sleeved shirts, hiking boots, insect repellents and of course a good lens camera that has flash deactivated to capture your encounter with the gentle giants. The gorilla trekking experience is quite a lengthy one of about 4-8 hours depending on the movements of these gorillas. You are advisable to bet physically fit and only adults 15 years and above are allowed on for gorilla tracking. After the gorilla adventure in the forest you will return to Mahogany Springs Lodge or Buhoma Community Bandas for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Kampala
Have breakfast and head for Kampala, you will have lunch enroute; you can stop briefly at Mpambire village well known for drum makers. Proceed to Kampala arriving in the late afternoon.
