This 16 days (15nights) will begin and end in Entebbe. It will take you to many wonderful places like; Murchison Falls for Wildlife viewing activities, Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park, Bird watching tour near Lake Bunyonyi, the beautiful Ssese islands, and Uganda gorilla trekking tour in Bwindi National Park plus many other places. This is total adventure safari in Uganda.
You will have 1 night at Cassia Lodge in Kampala 2 nights at Paraa Safari Lodge or equivalent in Murchison Falls National Park, 2 nights at Crater Safari lodge in Kibale National Park, 1 night at Semuliki Lodge in Semuliki National Park, 2 nights at Kasenyi Safari Camp in Queen Elizabeth National Park, 2 night at Chameleon Hill Lodge in the Southern sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, 2 nights at Bunyonyi Eco resort in on the island in Bunyonyi, 1 night at Mihingo Lodge in Lake Mburo National Park and 2 nights at Brovad Sands Lodge on Ssese Island.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kampala: You will be picked from Entebbe International Airport by our safari guide/ driver who will welcome you and transfer to your hotel in Kampala. On arrival, before check in, your safari guide will give you a brief about your Uganda Safari and later check in and enjoy your evening at Leisure. Overnight at Cassia Lodge on bed and Breakfast (BB)
Day 2: Murchison falls, visit the top of the falls: Morning get picked from your Hotel in Kampala by our tour guide/your driver guide and head to Murchison Falls National Park. En-route visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino viewing, you can decide to have lunch at the sanctuary or proceed to Masindi for your lunch stop. Proceed to the park, visit the fascinating top of Murchison falls. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (B, L&D)
Day 3: Wildlife Viewing and Boat cruise on the River Nile: Morning game drive adventure to view lion leopard giraffe, elephant, buffalo hyena, giraffe and other game. You will return to the lodge for lunch after the game drive. When you are done with lunch, the guide will transfer you to the pier and take a Boat cruise on River Nile up to bottom of the falls seeing animals that could be grazing on the river shores, schools of hippos and many bird species thriving along the Nile. Day 4: Murchison Falls to Fort Portal: After breakfast start off from Murchison Falls National Park for Fort portal. Heading Southwest through the Albertine rift, this journey takes you through beautiful scenic area characterized by escarpments of the western arm of the Great East African Rift Valley. On reaching the colorful and beautiful Fort Portal town located in the shadow of the mythical Mountains of the Moon you will check in at your hotel- driving takes much of the day. Dinner and Overnight will be at Crater Safari Lodge (B, L&D)
Day 5-Chimpanzee tracking, and Birding tour-Bigodi Swamp: It is more interesting to search for chimps in the morning so you will wake up a bit early, have breakfast and then set off in the forest. While in the Forest, you will be able to view other primates like the colobus monkeys, Mangabeys, baboons, Bush babies and many more, this will be done with the help of park guides and rangers. Because you have your packed lunch, you will use about 30 minutes to have it and then in the afternoon, you will go for a walk in Bigodi sanctuary for plenty of birds and rare fauna and flora. At the end of the day, you will head back to Crater Safari lodge for your dinner and overnight (B, L&D)
Day 6: Sight-seeing Night Game drive- Semuliki national Park: Very early in the mornings, you will depart for Semuliki national park. The drive will take you down the eastern side of Lake Albert. Situated in the basin of the western Rift valley, Semuliki NP is one of the parks with many habitats ranging from Riparian forests, rain forests to short and high grass savannah. It is also known for its night game drive that reward you with nocturnal dwellers like the white tailed mongoose and slender mongoose, standard and pennant winged nightjars, cats, hyenas, leopards and many more. This is the only place in Uganda where you can do a spot lit night drive. The park generally offers lots of surprises because you never know what you might find. Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park: After breakfast, you will visit the sempaya hot springs before you head out for your wildlife adventure to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a game drive while entering the park and you may be able to spot several animals like; warthogs, antelope species, lions, buffaloes, hyenas, and elephants. On your arrival, have lunch and then enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Kasenyi Safari Camp (B, L&D)
Day 8-Game drive and launch cruise: You will have your morning breakfast and then go for a Game drive to catch up with the early risers and predator returning to their conceal outs. This drive will reward you with game like Lions, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, jackals, bush bucks, bush pigs, and many more. You will retire from the game drive for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon you will for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes Edward & George with rewarding views of some aquatic life and game along the lake shores. Dinner and overnight at Kasenyi Safari Camp (B, L&D)
Day 9-Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park: After Early morning breakfast, depart for an early morning chimp tracking in the Kyambura gorge. You are likely to see a lot of chimpanzees and other primates. Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest pass through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth called Ishasha famous for tree-climbing lions that you may be able to spot. Proceed to Bwindi dinner and overnight at Chameleon Hill Lodge (B, L&D)
Day 10- Gorilla Tracking: You will have an early breakfast and transfer to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for a brief on your gorilla trekking Uganda adventure- briefing starts at 0700hrs. After the briefing, you will enter into the Gorilla Sanctuary for your adventure. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. Mammals in the forest include the endangered mountain gorilla, rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephant, black fronted duiker, bushbuck, leopard, giant forest hog and many others. The park is known for its fascinating gorillas. The time taken and the terrain vary according to the movements of these marvelous primates. The thrill of spending time and observing the gorillas is a rare moving, awesome and exciting adventure. Once you come close to the gorilla family within allowed distance, you will be allowed a maximum of one hour to observe these gentle giants. After your gorilla experience return to your hotel. Day 11-Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi after breakfast; interact with the Batwa people who are the shortest pygmies as well as observing different bird species at the islands. After Lunch, relax at the lodge and later enjoy a boat cruise along the islands, dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Eco Resort (B, L & D)
Day 12: Bird Watching Tour at Lake Bunyonyi: After having your breakfast, you will a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi, visit communities and the rest of the day will be at leisure. You will be able to spot out different bird species some of which include; Blue-napped Mousebird, Spot-flanked Barbet, Nubian Woodpecker, Northern Black Tit, Red-headed Lovebird, Green-capped Eremomela, Ross' Turaco and the highly sought-after Red-faced Barbet. In the evening, you will head back for dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Eco Resort (B, L & D)
Day 13- Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park: Have breakfast to drive off to Lake Mburo National Park. The park is well known for harboring plenty of antelope including the impala from which the Capital city of Uganda-Kampala- was named. You will drive to go through some of the finest sceneries to reach Lake Mburo NP in the afternoon. You will have lunch and then go for a canoe ride on Lake Mburo to search for animals at the shores of the lake. Dinner and overnight at Mantana tented Camp / Rwonyo CAMP.
Day14: From lake Mburo national park to Ssese Islands: After breakfast, you will go for a very early game drive looking for variety of wild life like Zebra buffalo, hyena and the newly introduced giraffes at Lake Mburo National Park. After your short excursion of Lake Mburo National park you will embark on the road where you will drive straight to Nakiwogo Landing site in Entebbe in time for a ferry transfer to Ssese islands- the ferry leaves for the island at 1400hrs prompt. You will cross with ferry to the islands and check in at Brovad Sands Lodge for dinner and overnight. You will have a relaxed evening enjoying the singing birds and the waters surrounding you. Day 15: Explore Ssese Islands: After breakfast, you will go out for your activities at the islands. Activities include Swimming, village walks, sun bathing, beach activities, bird watching, sport fishing, primate walks and community projects etc. You will choose what to do and pay directly (activities are optional) Dinner and overnight at Brovad Sands Lodge (B, L, & D)
Day 16: Transfer back to the mainland: After breakfast, aboard the ferry to Entebbe in the morning arriving at around mid-day. The ferry leaves the island at exactly 0830hrs every day- you don’t have to miss it
