Kidepo Valley National Park is the remotest park in Uganda tucked in the northeastern corner along the border with Kenya and South Sudan. It is one of the most naturally authentic and least disturbed wildernesses in Africa, with a scenery that cannot be found anywhere else in East Africa coupled with the unique Karamojong culture and livelihood. The journey from Kampala to Kidepo takes over 10 hours of drive, almost half of it on dirt road and almost not accessible during the rainy seasons. The fly in safari eases access to the park and will provide spectacular aerial views of the semi-arid rugged landscape. The scheduled flights are available Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays but also can get charter flights that can fly to and from Kidepo on any given day. The scheduled flights are operated with a minimum of 4 passengers and if less have to meet the total flight cost of 4 people.
