This 4 days Uganda wildlife safari will explore the National parks of Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Parks with the major highlights being wildlife view while on game drives and boat cruises on Lake Mburo and the Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth National park. Both of these parks are located west of the Ugandan capital Kampala.
Day 1: Kampala to Lake Mburo
Our safari guide will pick you up from your residence/hotel after your early breakfast and drive to Lake Mburo national park which is about 260km (5 hours) from Kampala to the Park headquarters and rest camp at Rwonyo. In the afternoon go for a boat ride where you will spot various hippos and other water animals and birds. In the evening go for a game drive and after return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.(FB)
Day 2: Game drive and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have breakfast and go for a game drive in the park. Look out for Impalas, as well as the more uncommon antelopes that include Topi, Eland, and Klipspringer. The Burchells Zebra and buffaloes also easy to see as they graze within these areas. After the drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and thereafter set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Day 3: Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early morning warm up tea or coffee, you will head for a game drive along Kasenyi tracks in search of animals like: lions, cape buffalos, elephants, warthogs, waterbucks, spotted hyenas, mangoose, kobs and, if you are lucky, the leopard is often spotted. Over 606 bird species have been recorded in this park and most notably along the Kazinga channel.
Return for a full breakfast, relax and prepare for yet another exciting activity in the afternoon. After lunch you will transfer to enjoy a unique two hours boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This launch cruise gives you a great opportunity for photography, animal and bird watching at close range.
Day 4: Game Drive - Kampala
After breakfast you can decide to go for another morning game drive or do the OPTIONAL Chimpanzee Tracking in Kalinzu Forest. You will return to the lodge for lunch and later drive back to Kampala/Entebbe.
